Cultuurfestival voor kinderen 2-12 jaar

Het Leidsche Rijn Festival is hét cultuurfestival voor kinderen van 2 tot 12 jaar en gratis toegankelijk. Begonnen als eerste straatfestival van de kersverse bewoners van de wijk, groeide het uit tot een begrip in Leidsche Rijn en Vleuten-De Meern. Cultuur19 is sinds jaar en dag organisator van het festival. Op het programma staan professionele muzikanten en theatermakers gebroederlijk naast lokale, beginnende makers.

Kom zoveel mogelijk met de fiets en stal je stalen ros in de fietsnietjes. Zo houden we de buren te vriend en blijft het parkeerterrein van Castellum Hoge Woerd bereikbaar voor mensen die minder goed ter been zijn. Alle onderdelen en voorzieningen van het Leidsche Rijn Festival zijn rolstoeltoegankelijk.

About Leidsche Rijn Festival

Leidsche Rijn Festival is an annual festival for children organised by Cultuur19, cultural community center of Leidsche Rijn/Vleuten-De Meern. Its origins date back to 1999, to a community powered street festival for the first inhabitants of Leidsche Rijn, mainly families with young children. Today it has grown into a cultural festival with professional music and theatre productions for children (2-12 years old), it remains freely accessible to everyone.

Cultuur19 guards its roots carefully, inviting a significant amount of local groups and artists like dance schools, orchestras and brass bands to the line-up. The quality of the shows and workshops, as well as the intimate atmosphere draws around 4000-7000 visitors to the Leidsche Rijn Festival each year. We are looking forward to seeing you at our festival.

All performances and activities are wheelchair-accessible. For many of the activities Dutch language is not required, particularly 2+ performances. Please don't hesitate to contact us for recommendations. We'll be glad to help out.
